The following comment was posted on my Facebook page by Richard Ford.

thank you for sharing this little bit of our history. i had forgotten most of this.
from my roof-deck i can see [3 blocks away] the hotel we stayed at in venice beach on that tour. when we arrived you and i went for a run way up the boardwalk to pacific palisades. on the way back we ran into ross levinson watching an am...azing sunset.

i remember feeling pretty uncomfortable in that band. there was such tension between our front men - plus the music felt disjointed, partly my disconnect i expect. i think that was the last nail in the coffin for me as far as trying to scratch a living playing in a touring band. you were always such a pleasure to work and play with, and a great road companion.
don't have any photos i'm afraid. thank you for the very nice review and for putting this together.

happy new year my friend. keep up them drummin' stuff.

Thanks for posting this recounting Brian. Its good to see some truth about this band come out. If you read the history of the Silos as its posted on some sites, youd never know we were even there. Im looking forward to part 2.

Brian, I have a very good memory about the Silos and it is finally time to tell the their story (at least the years and the part of story that I took part in) now! It is a story that is both glorious and tragic with characters and events that your won't have to be a Silo's fan or even know a thing about the Silos or the music business to appreciate... See More. It's finally time to set the record straight and to hell with bruised egos, fake history and wondering about retribution for telling the truth in a business that is famous for real and imagined retribution for telling the truth, the ugly truth. Fuck all that noise. Nobody escapes the beauty or the ugliness. Not even me. Names will be named. Some people will be pissed off. To them I say look in your heart and the mirror for the truth and then go fuck yourself: (Richard "where's my 20% Grabel, Esq. comes to mind) - one of the most vile bloodsuckers on the planet. Some will be delighted. To them I say "thanks for the memories." Your presence made a difficult time less difficult. God Bless You: (Jim Johnson - a force of nature and Joe Chininci - soundman/technician extroadinaire) to name a few for now. I am just getting started. Stay tuned. MZ

Joe, writing this series has been therapeutic, to say the least. I'm glad you can now see it from another perspective. In part 3 I'll be writing about our live shows, of which you were a huge part. I'd love to include some of your memories too. Let's make it happen, ok?

Brian, it's awesome to read about this whole thing that I was a part of, and to actually finally get the truth. There is a lot that finally makes sense for the first time. Thanks for the insight. Where's PART II? I'm waiting patiently.
